We have an active parents association in the form of Friends of Bretton School, more commonly known as FoBS.
FoBS works in strong partnership with the school and organises social events for parents and children with the aim of organising social and educational events, as well as supporting the school through raising money.
Yearly events include Christmas fairs, discos at the Village Institute, hamper raffles, family fun nights, wine tasting evenings, as well as assisting in obtaining grants for different projects and organising uniform sales.
Last year FoBS raised over an incredible £5,000. Monies raised are spent directly on benefiting the children. This year FoBS have paid for a new home reading book scheme; heavily subsidised a whole school trip to the pantomime, and contributed £2,500 towards our new Trim Trail. In previous years they have furnished our new library, bought an overhead projector for the hall and given a budget to each class to choose indoor playtime games.
